Bin
Laden; "You are waging a hopeless and losing war for the benefit of
others, a war the end of which is not visible on the horizon," he
said, according to a translation of the tape Sept. 14-2009 by SITE
Intelligence Group, a terrorist-monitoring firm, and by The
Associated Press.
Bin Laden, who was believed to be in hiding in the
Afghan-Pakistan border region, said the current
White House is
merely following the Bush-Cheney strategy to "promote the previous
policies of fear to market the interest of big companies."
When Obama retained the
Bush administration's Defense Secretary Robert Gates,
"reasonable people knew that Obama is a powerless man who will not
be able to end the war as he promised," Bin Laden said.
Bin Laden devoted much of his address to
discussing U.S. connections with Israel and castigated Americans for
failing to understand that the issue was behind
Al-Qaida's animosity. As he often does in his addresses, he
cited books by American scholars and others that he said support his
claim. Such citations also serve to show he kept close watch on
current events and media despite being a fugitive in a
war zone.
"The delay in your knowing those causes has cost
you a lot without any result whatsoever," he said. "This position of
yours, combined with some other injustices, created the events of (Sept.
11)."
"Ask yourselves to determine your position: Is
your security, your blood, your children, your money, your jobs,
your homes, your economy, and your reputation dearer to you than the
security of the Israelis, their children and their economy?" he
said.
If Americans realized the extent of their
"suffering from the injustice of the Jews ... you will realize that
both our nations are victims of the policies of the White House,"
which he described as "a hostage" to interest groups and and large
companies."

In the recent Lebanon war Israel used spent nuclear
shells, phosphorus & cluster bombs, as well as biological and
chemical weapons on civilians. Over 3 thousand Lebanese were killed
and many are still suffering from the effects of unknown chemical
weapons used against them by Israel.
The imagery of the Dimona nuclear reactor was
acquired by the Public Eye Project of the Federation of American
Scientists from Space Imaging Corporation's IKONOS satellite. The
cooling towers associated with the Dimona reactor are clearly
visible and identifiable in satellite imagery. Comparison of
recently acquired commercial IKONOS imagery with declassified
American CORONA reconnaissance satellite imagery indicates that no
new cooling towers were constructed in the years between 1971 and
2000. This strongly suggests that the reactor's power level has not
been increased significantly during this period. This would suggest
an annual production rate of plutonium of about 20 kilograms.
Based on plausible upper and lower bounds of the operating practices
at the reactor, Israel could have thus produced enough plutonium for
at least 100 nuclear weapons, but probably not significantly more
than 200 weapons.
Some type of non-nuclear test, perhaps a zero yield or implosion
test, occurred on 2 November 1966, possibly at Al-Naqab in the
Negev. It is speculated that a suspected nuclear explosion in the
southern Indian Ocean in 1979 was a joint South African-Israeli
test. Israel was a staunch supporter of South Africa's Apartheid.
That would be a certainty for gaiting control of the country's
resources, gold, and diamond mines, etc.

three companies, Amdocs, which provides billing and directory
assistance for most American phone companies, Comverse Infosys,
which installs and mainstains telephone tapping equipment for US law
enforcement, and Odigo, which provides services for the various
"Instant Message" systems on your computer. All three companies are
owned by Israel and have strong ties to the Israeli Defense Force.
Both Amdocs and Comverse Infosys were implicated
in the sale of telephone data which compromised US investigations
into drug running, and Comverse Infosys phone taps are suspected of
being the means by which Bill Clinton's phone sex sessions were
recorded, as reported in the Ken Starr Report. Odigo, which had
offices near the World Trade Towers, is the company which received a
two hour advance warning of the attacks of 9-11.
Now, in a chilling real life version of the
plotline from "The Net", it turns out that the majority of the
firewalls on US corporate and government computer systems are
provided by just one company, Checkpoint Systems, which like Amdocs,
Comverse Infosys, and Odigo, is headquartered in Israel.

The
survival of several video recordings of Building 7's collapse,
though of low resolution, allow study of the building's motion and
the time of collapse.
Each of the following videos shows the entire
visible portion of the building falling with a vertical precision
otherwise seen only in controlled demolition. Moreover, they show
that the collapse took only about 6.5 seconds from start to finish.
That rate of fall is within a second of the time it would take an
object to fall from the building's roof with no air resistance. No
steel or other such building has ever collapsed as a result of fire
in such a short time.
Larry Silverstein
The owner, Larry Silverstein would benefit quickly and very
substantially from the destruction of Building Seven.
"In February of
2002 Silverstein Properties won $861 million from Industrial Risk
Insurers to rebuild on the site of WTC 7. Silverstein Properties'
estimated investment in WTC 7 was $386 million. So: This
building's collapse resulted in a profit of about $500 million!"
Oddly enough, this would be before any official determination was
made about the cause of the building's "collapse" -- making one
wonder about the good sense of the insurance company. In fact,
neither the Federal Government nor the State of New York seemed to
have much interest in determining what happened to ANY of the
buildings destroyed in connection with 9-11.
The Feds had quickly decided that FEMA would be the sole
investigator of the buildings of 9-11, but Congress allocated no
funding for the investigation. FEMA, which is not an investigative
body anyway, diverted $600,000 from its own budget, and assembled a
group of volunteer engineers to create the WTC Building Performance
Study. In an all-to-familiar scenario, the engineers were never
allowed to inspect the actual site of the Building Seven collapse,
and were severely limited in their access to salvaged building
materials, blueprints, etc.
In the end, even the government threw up its collective hands trying
to find an acceptable reason for the Building Seven "collapse" that
would make any sense. The official report was released at the end
of May, and concluded:
"The specifics of
the fires in WTC 7 and how they caused the building to collapse
remain unknown..."
However, the government's position on anything
related to the tragedy was quickly solidifying into a stone wall:
9-11 in its entirety was an open and shut case - and no further
research, investigation, or analyses was necessary. By the end of
May, every scrap of potential physical evidence has been seized and
carted away, either to be destroyed outright, buried in a landfill,
or in the case of structural steel -- shipped out of the country to
India and China.
Here is the actual quote from the video aired on
live TV of the interview of Larry Silverstein and his statement of
having building 7 "Pulled", which is a demolition term to have the
building brought down.
SILVERSTEIN:
I remember getting a call from the fire department commander -
telling me that - they were not sure they were gonna be able
(to) contain the fire. I said "you know we've had such terrible
loss of life - maybe the smartest thing to do is - is pull it."
Ahhh - and they made that decision to pull. And we watched the
building collapse.
PBS was eventually given permission to film a documentary. After
weeks of on-site filming the video was finally aired. Afterwards
Silverstein became permanently unavailable to discuss it.
Eventually, a rumor was circulated that he claimed he simply didn't
mean what people thought he meant -- that he was discussing pulling
the firefighters from the building, and simply letting it burn.
This seemed to me to be very unlikely for a man with almost 400
million dollars invested in the building.
My first thought on viewing the video clip was to wonder if there
was more than one reason for the staged confession.
Was it
possible that Silverstein was demonstrating to someone else that he
could spill the beans about a lot more than Building Seven if he
wasn't protected? If so, he apparently got what he wanted. The
National Institute of Standards was soon drafted to produce a report
on Building Seven to dispel the stories of controlled demolition.
The crux of the report was the classic line that we've all come to
know and love, favorite of all public liars, "NIST has seen no
evidence..." This of course was embarrassingly true, all evidence
was long gone.

The Best Evidence Available on the 9-11 Conspiracy
Demolition of World Trade Center Building 7 was admitted by its
developer on national television

On September 14, 2002, the Public Broadcasting
System (PBS) aired a documentary on reconstruction of the former World
Trader Center site in lower Manhattan. The show's title was "America
Rebuilds." During this PBS documentary, the developer of World Trade
Center (WTC) Building 7, Larry Silverstein of Silverstein Properties,
said that he and "the commander" of the New York City Fire Department
had decided to "pull" WTC Building 7 late in the afternoon of
September 11, 2001.
The developer, then 70 years old, whose Silverstein Properties had
become the principal lease-holder of the World Trade Center's Twin
Towers just seven weeks before 9/11/01, told PBS:
"I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander,
telling that they were not sure they were going to be able to contain
the fire, and I said, "We've had such a terrible loss of life, maybe
the smartest thing is to pull it". And they made that decision to pull
and we watched the building collapse."
To "pull" a building, in the lexicon of realtors and Fire Departments,
is to demolish it. Thus, in its context, Larry Silverstein's repeated
use of the phrase "to pull" means "to demolish." At another point,
earlier in this "America Rebuilds" documentary, there is a sequence of
quotes about WTC Building 6, a building also brought to ground on the
morning of 9-11, which makes clear that "to pull" means to demolish:
First, the PBS documentary plays an official's voice on that
horrendous morning: "Hello? We're getting ready to pull Building 6."
Then the documentary presents commentary by Luis Mendes of New York
City's Department of Design and Construction: "We had to be very
careful how we demolished Building 6. We were worried about Building 6
coming down and then damaging the story walls, so we wanted that
particular building to fall within a certain area."
The conclusion? Larry Silverstein's nationally aired statement means,
simply, that he and others must have prepared WTC Building 7 for
demolition. Could this preparation for demolition have taken place on
a single afternoon? As we will see below, because it was a 47-story
skyscraper containing 2 million square feet of office space, this
preparation must have taken at least several weeks. Several weeks,
that is, before Sept. 11, 2001.
For a Controlled Demolition, Call Controlled Demolition, Inc.
Controlled Demoliton, Inc. (CDI), of Baltimore, Maryland is one of the
world's leaders in demolishing large buildings. Owned for three
generations by the Loizeaux family, CDI details on its website the
'World Records' that the company holds in demolishing huge structures
-- monuments such as the former Kingdome in Seattle. The CDI website
also relates the time spans that have been required for the company's
accomplishments.
How much time would be required for the planning and emplacement of
charges for the symmetric implosion of WTC Building 7 that we saw on
9-11? WTC Building 7 was a 47-story tower that sat less than 100 feet
from other skyscrapers. We read on the CDI site about a 17-story
building of reinforced concrete in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia -- the Sheikh
A. Alaki Apartment Building -- which collapsed while under
construction by the Bechtel Corporation in 1998.
The CDI site relates: 'At the request of Bechtel, Controlled
Demolition, Inc.'s team mobilized to the site in less than 24 hours,
prepared the central-core, flat slab, reinforced concrete structure in
another 27 hours, and put the balance of the building on the ground
with absolute safety just 96 hours after the start of demolition
preparations.'
96 hours, four days. This was the time needed for emergency demolition
of a 17-story building of reinforced concrete by a CDI team.
Preparation for demolition of WTC Building 7 must have preceded 9-11
by weeks, if not months.
A building in Detroit, Mich. of comparable size to WTC Building 7 --
the J L Hudson store, standing 35 stories tall and containing 2.2
million square feet -- took CDI almost five months to prepare and
bring down in 1998.
The CDI site reports that after four months of study by associate
contractors:
CDI's 12-person loading crew took 24 days to place 4,118 separate
charges in 1,100 locations on columns on nine levels of the complex.
Over 36,000 ft of detonating cord and 4,512 non-electric delay
elements were installed in CDI's implosion initiation system, some to
create the 36 primary implosion sequences and another 216 micro-delays
to keep down the detonation overpressure from the 2,728 lbs of
explosives which would be detonated during the demolition.
So. Four months, plus an additional 24 days, were needed to place the
charges necessary to demolish, within its 420-foot-by-220-foot
footprint, a building 12 stories smaller than WTC Building 7.
How, then, could the preparation and emplacement of charges to "pull"
WTC Building 7 be accomplished in a single afternoon? In particular,
during the tumultuous afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001, right there at
'Ground Zero'?
What It All Means
Larry Silverstein's statement on national television means that the
preparation for demolition of WTC Building 7 must have preceded 9-11
by weeks, if not months.
Upon a moment of reflection, the developer's statement also means that
al Queda could not be at all involved in this most revealing part of
the horrific 9-11 crimes.
It means, upon further reflection, that only those with secret access
to WTC Building 7's 25 central columns and 58 perimeter columns of
structural steel could have been responsible for placing the charges
that accomplished its symmetric, precipitous, inward collapse which
took no more than a gravity-like 6.5 seconds as all of the
skyscraper's 570-foot-high mass crashed to the ground. It means that
the building's developer and lease-holder, Larry Silverstein, himself,
was probably integrally involved in the 9-11 conspiracy. It means also
that WTC Building 7's mortgage-holders on 9-11, the Blackstone Group,
Banc of America Securities, and the General Motors Acceptance
Corporation, were probably also privy to the protracted planning and
placing of explosive charges within their property. It means that
these three pillars of the United States' financial establishment were
probably integrally involved in the conspiracy both to commit the
terrible crimes of 9-11 and to reap enormous profits from the
consequent "War on Terrorism."
When we look at the different, but nearly equally obvious, demolitions
of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers, and consider the amount of
time needed for the planning and placement of charges to collapse
these gigantic structures as they actually fell (straight down into
their footprints), we see that the entity which controlled the Twin
Towers for decades and which awarded the lease of the Twin Towers to
the consortium of realtors headed by Silverstein Properties in April
2001 -- the New York Port Authority -- must also come under suspicion
in the emplacement of the charges that were necessary for the
demolitions and the killing of more than two thousand people.
Connecting the Dots
Banc of America Securities. The General Motors Acceptance Corporation.
The New York Port Authority. We're led still deeper into the heart of
the United States' financial establishment, for the New York Port
Authority is a body long controlled by the family most powerful and
manipulative in Manhattan real estate: the Rockefeller family.
Of the Rockefellers, the banker David, head of both the Chase
Manhattan Bank and the Council on Foreign Relations from the late
1960s into the 1980s, was the main mover behind construction of the
World Trade Center from the early 1960s forward. During this period of
construction, David's brother, Nelson, was Governor of New York, and
thus, as Governor, the ultimate, nominal boss of the New York Port
Authority, the entity that was for many years the largest tenant (with
20,000 employees resident) in either Tower.
In October 2000, David Rockefeller's close associate Peter G.
Peterson, who was Chairman of both the Council of Foreign Relations
and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on 9-11, led the
multifold-investment company of which he was also Chairman, the
Blackstone Group, into purchase of the portion of the mortgage on WTC
Building 7 that was held by the Traveler's Group.
The lease has an all-important escape clause: If the buildings are
struck by "an act of terrorism," the new owners' obligations under the
lease are void. As a result, the new owners are not required to make
any payments under their lease, but they will be able to collect on
the loss of the buildings that collapses or were otherwise destroyed
and damaged in the attacks.
In February of 2002, the Blackstone Group, Banc of America Securities,
the General Motors Acceptance Corporation, and Silverstein Properties
shared in a award from Industrial Risk Insurers of $861 million for
loss of the obviously demolished WTC Building 7. The total investment
of the lease-holder and mortgage-holders for WTC 7 was $386 million.
Thus they shared in a profit of $475 million for the demolished
Building 7.
At the time of the Towers' transfer from the New York Port Authority
to Silverstein Properties they faced much more than $1 billion in
costs for renovation and asbestos-removal. Eric Darton's excellent
study of the World Trade Center, Divided We Stand, published in 2000,
summarizes the property's problems as real estate:
'To maintain the trade center as class-A office space commanding top
rents, the [Port Authority] would have had to spend $800 million
rebuilding the electrical, electronic communication, and cooling
systems.'
These problems were, of course, removed from the Port Authority when
it leased away the Twin Towers and World Trade Center Buildings 4, 5,
6 and 400,000 feet of retail space to the consortium led by
Silverstein Properties seven weeks prior to 9-11. The $3.2 billion
long-term price for the 99-year lease was widely thought to be low for
properties estimated to be worth $8 billion over that time-span. JP
Morgan Chase, the flagship of Rockefeller-controlled Banks, advised
the Port Authority in the award of this lease. The new lease-holders
immediately took out insurance policies worth more than the total,
long-term price of their new WTC holdings. Silverstein Properties
itself invested only $15 million of the less than $600 million
actually transferred to the Port Authority. The British Financial
Times reported on September 14, 2001:
Taking It to the Bank
In April 2004, Silverstein Properties and its partners won an award of
$4.8 billion from their claim for $7.1 billion in losses to their 2001
World Trade Center acquisitions as a result of the 9-11 attacks.
Other insurance-related profits followed from the mass destruction and
death in lower Manhattan on 9-11. There were huge increases in the
premiums subsequently paid to the largest surviving insurer
corporations. In this regard, an interview CDI Executive Mark Loizeaux
gave to New Scientist in July 2004 is instructive. The CDI executive
was asked: 'But 9/11 has also sent your insurance up, hasn't it?' Mark
Loizeaux replied: 'It's gone up about 2000 percent since 9-11. Not
only because of 9-11 but because insurance companies lost a great deal
of money in the stock market collapse just preceding 9-11 with the
collapse of dot.coms.'
The amounts of revenue and profit for two of the largest US insurer
Corporations -- Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway and Maurice
Greenberg's American International Group -- between 2002 and 2003 were
exorbitant.2
Large as these amounts to insurer corporations are, they're dwarfed by
the post-9/11 financial gains from the "War on Terrorism" accruing to:
oil-and-gas corporations such as Chevron, Exxon, British Peteroleum
and Royal Dutch Shell; weapons-making corporations such as Lockheed
Martin, Northrup Grunman, and General Dynamics; and money-laundering
banks and stock markets through which the post-2001
$180-billion-per-year in profits from Afghan-grown opium are flowing.

The 9-11 Crimes in New York City, a book Jim Hoffman and I have

All of these corporations are connected in multiple ways through their
interlocking boards of directors and major stock-holders. As of 1993,
the Rockefeller family was among the top five vote-holders in 93 of
the United States' 122 largest corporations. As of 1997, the Chase
Bank and Citigroup controlled more than half the stock of the
privately owned Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
All of these corporations have vital connections to the heart of the
US financial establishment, which is thoroughly represented among the
financiers who constructed or controlled the World Trade Center before
the demolition of the Twin Towers and WTC Building 7.
Thus, developer and lease-holder Larry Silverstein's nationally
televised statement concerning the decision to "pull" WTC Building 7
is itself the most clear-cut key we now have on the public record for
unlocking the whole of the conspiracy which orchestrated the
demolitions and the resulting murder of thousands in lower Manhattan
on Sept. 11, 2001, as the pretext for more war outside the US and more
repression inside.

And exhibited none of the
characteristics of destruction by fire:
Slow onset with large visible deformations
Asymmetrical collapse which follows the path
of least resistance (laws of conservation of momentum would
cause a falling, intact, from the point of plane impact, to
the side most damaged by the fires)
High-rise buildings with much larger, hotter, and
longer-lasting fires have never collapsed.
Those who still buy into the monumental lie that
aircraft caused the collapse of both WTC Towers, cannot explain how
a steel beam weighing twice as much as a Boeing 767 flew from one
WTC building over 390 feet to bury itself into the neighboring
American Express building. No steel framed building has ever
collapsed from fire, as it would be impossible.
The 9/11 attacks were created for justification
of US covert plans to grab influence over oil politics in the Middle
East and as an excuse to take away the rest of Americans' liberties
through a manufactured threat-scenario called, "The War On Terror."
There were dozens and dozens of
reports by rescue workers on the ground at the WTC complex that
heard explosions over an hour after the planes crashed into the
towers. They felt explosions under their feet that were so
powerful that seismographs registered them at 2.1 and 2.3 on the
Richter scale. Only explosions could have caused them.
The weekend before the 9/11 WTC
demolition, all power was shut down to install "computer cables." No
one was allowed inside and all security cameras and alarms had no
power for 30 hours.
Computer cables don't connect with
building electricity, so the need to turn off and close both towers
to do so is indicative of another motive, like planting charges
without alarms and video surveillance. Marvin Bush, brother to
President George and Jeb Bush, Gov. of FL., was a principal in
Securacom, which was in charge of security for the World Trade
Center. Didn't hear that on the TV news, did you?
The WTC was the biggest crime,
mass murder, 'hijackings' and air crashes in US history. Yet all the
forensic evidence was immediately removed, buried or shipped to
smelters so that not one investigator from any agency could inspect
it. Only our government has that kind of power?
Even harder to explain is why WTC
Building 7, a block away, collapsed "because of fire," when it
received no damage from the Twin Towers' collapse. No other
skyscraper in the world ever collapsed because of a fire of any
type, including that from a B25 bomber crashing into the Empire
State Building decades ago. And one puzzling visual were the
tons of un-scorched paper flying over the city? So we are supposed
to believe that the fires were intense enough to melt a million tons
of steel, but not burn paper?
Of all the air crashes in the USA
over the past three decades, how many ground crashes resulted in not
recovering their black boxes, containing pilots' voices (CVRs) and
aircraft telemetries (FDRs) before and during impact? Yet not one
usable black box was ever recovered from any of the four planes that
reputedly were hijacked on 9/11. Not one.
Flight 93 that contained the
"Let's roll!" myth, where four passengers supposedly tried to
overpower the hijackers, did not crash into one small area like it
should have done. It's debris was spread over 8 miles, indicating
that it was shot down by a military fighter jet, exploding in the
sky and raining down debris over eight miles, "witnesses said it
looked like confetti." A crashing plane's debris is limited to a 1/4
to a 1/2 mile, but if it was shot down and exploded high in the air
it's debris would definitely be scattered over several miles.

Controlled Demolition
Buildings only fall vertically like Building 7
when destroyed by controlled demolition.
The controlled demolition of large structures is
a well developed art and science. Removing a tall building from an
urban landscape without damaging adjacent structures -- a
considerable engineering feat -- is a task that only a handful of
controlled demolitions companies specialize in. One such company is
Controlled Demolition Inc., which, incidentally, was subcontracted
by Tully Construction to coordinate the removal of rubble from
Ground Zero and the disposal of the structural steel in the months
following the attack.
The steel skeletons of buildings like WTC 7 are
extremely robust. They are designed to withstand earthquakes and
hurricanes, and are over-engineered to handle several times the
maximum loads anticipated during their lifetimes. Such steel
skeletons have local structural integrity. An event that destroyed
one portion of the structure would not cause distant portions to
shatter. If some force obliterated the load-bearing columns well
below the top of a 600-foot tall skyscraper, the top of the building
would topple like a tree, not smash its way down through intact
floors and into its foundation.
Controlled demolition destroys vertical steel
structures while overcoming their tendency to topple onto adjacent
real-estate. It does so by shattering the steel skeleton through the
precisely timed detonation of explosive charges.
Demolitions are large undertakings with high
stakes. The number of charges required is at least the number of
columns times some fraction of the number of floors. An error in
timing of the detonations could cause expensive collateral damage.
Most demolitions seek to implode the building,
causing the mass to move toward the center, resulting in a tidy
rubble pile. In tall buildings this is typically done by shattering
the interior structures of the building first or ahead of the
exterior structures. That causes the interior mass to fall first,
pulling outer structures toward the center. Pieces of the outer
walls end up on top of the rubble pile.
Building 7's documented vertical plunge and tidy
rubble pile with exterior wall fragments on top are exactly the
kinds of results that controlled demolitions achieve through careful
engineering.
The Vertical Collapse of Building
7
Building 7 collapsed in a nearly perfectly
vertical motion at near the rate of free-fall. The first sign of the
collapse is the falling of the penthouse, immediately followed by
the falling of the whole facade, as seen from either the north and
south. The middle of the building's north wall fell slightly faster
than its edges.
These two video frames appear in Chapter 5 of
FEMA's WTC Building Performance Study . Note that most of
the white smoke above the building is from the burning debris of the
collapsed towers.
The straight-down fall of the building's top can
be clearly seen in photographs and
videos. In the pair of images above, note that the position of
Building 7's right wall remains in almost exactly the same
horizontal position despite having fallen over 100 feet.
Dust engulfed the building when the roof had
fallen to within about 15 stories of street level. The nature of the
collapse past that point can be inferred by the shape of the rubble
pile and the fact that it was covered by the remains of the exterior
walls. This means that, not only did the building continue to fall
vertically until the end, the outer walls were pulled inward so that
they fell on top of the rubble pile.
In short, Building 7 imploded. Buildings are not
designed to implode. They are designed to remain standing. To
achieve a precisely vertical collapse, in which the remains of the
building fall inward, is the objective of controlled demolition.
The Destruction of
Building 7's Remains
Engineering is a
science that melds theory and experience to create robust
structures. Unintended structural failures are rare events that
warrant the most careful scrutiny, since they test engineering
theory.
That is why the NTSB
carefully documents aircraft crash scenes, and preserves the
aircraft remains, frequently creating partial reconstructions in
hangars. If an investigation reveals a mechanical or design fault,
the FAA usually mandates specific modifications of equipment or
maintenance procedures system-wide, and future aircraft are designed
to avoid the fault.
Unintended
structural failures are less common in steel-framed high-rises than
in aircraft. Being the only such building in history in which fire
is blamed for total collapse, Building 7's remains warranted the
most painstaking examination, documentation, and analysis. Building
7's rubble pile was at least as important as any archeological dig.
It contained all the clues to one of the largest structural failures
in history. Without understanding the cause of the collapse, all
skyscrapers become suspect, with profound implications for the
safety of occupants and for the ethics of sending emergency
personnel into burning buildings to save people and fight fires.
There was no
legitimate reason not to dismantle the rubble pile carefully,
documenting the position of each piece of steel and moving it to a
warehouse for further study. No one was thought buried in the pile,
since, unlike the Twin Towers, Building 7 had been evacuated hours
before the collapse. The pile was so well confined to the building's
footprint that the adjacent streets could have been cleared without
disturbing it.
Yet, despite the
paramount importance of the remains, they were hauled away and
melted down as quickly as possible. The steel was sold to scrap
metal vendors and most of it was soon on ships bound for China and
India. Some of the smaller pieces and a few token large pieces of
steel marked 'save' were allowed to be inspected at Fresh Kills
landfill by FEMA's BPAT volunteers.
This illegal
evidence destruction operation was conducted over the objections of
attack victims' family members and respected public safety
officials. Bill Manning, editor of the 125-year-old Fire
Engineering Magazine, wrote in an article condemning the
operation:
Did they throw away the locked doors from the Triangle
Shirtwaist fire? Did they throw away the gas can used at the happy
land social club fire? ... That's what they're doing at the World
Trade Center. The destruction and removal of evidence must stop
immediately.
Dr. Frederick W. Mowrer, an associate professor
in the Fire Protection Engineering Department at the University of
Maryland, was quoted in the New York Times as saying:
"I find the speed with
which potentially important evidence has been removed and recycled
to be appalling."
Officials running
the "cleanup operation" took pains to make sure the structural steel
didn't end up anywhere but in blast furnaces. They installed GPS
locator devices on each of the trucks hauling loads from Ground Zero
at a cost of $1000 each. One driver who took an extended lunch break
was dismissed.
What Caused Building 7's
Collapse?
This question would
appear to be the greatest in engineering history. In over 100 years
of experience with steel-framed buildings, fires have never
caused the collapse of a single one, even though many were
ravaged by severe fires. Indeed, fires have never caused the total
collapse of any permanent steel structure.
What was done to
answer this most important question? The only official body that
admits to having investigated the curious collapse of Building 7 is
FEMA's Building Performance Assessment Team (BPAT), which
blamed fires for the collapse but admitted to being clueless about
how fires caused the collapse.
People who have seen
buildings implode in controlled demolitions are unlikely to be as
challenged as FEMA's team in understanding the cause of Building 7's
collapse. They will notice, upon watching the videos, that Building
7's collapse showed all of the essential features of a controlled
demolition.
Despite having the
appearance of a controlled demolition, is it possible that Building
7 could have been destroyed by some combination of damage from tower
debris, fuel tank explosions, and fires? Let's consider the possible
scenarios.
NIST released a
photograph in 2005 showing a large gouge in the lower portion of the
southwest corner of Building 7, and its collapse scenario deviates
significantly from FEMA's in emphasizing alleged structural damage
from the collapse of the North Tower. That photograph is notable for
its lack of corroboration, and NIST's claims of other regions of
damage to the building's south face lack substantiating evidence.
Even if NIST's claims about structural damage from North Tower
debris were true, it would not begin to explain the precipitous,
symmetrical manner in which Building 7 collapsed. Structural damage
to the south side -- particularly to the lower stories -- would have
made any kind of vertical collapse all the more unlikely.
The idea that diesel
fuel stored in Building 7 is to blame for the collapse was promoted
by The New York Times in late 2001 and by FEMA's 2002
Building Performance Study. This idea is also untenable.
Fires were observed in Building 7 prior to its collapse, but they
were isolated in small parts of the building, and were puny by
comparison to other building fires. Let's imagine, contrary to the
evidence, that debris from the tower collapses
damaged
Building 7's structure, that diesel fuel tanks exploded, and that
incredibly intense fires raged through large parts of the building.
Could such events have caused the building to collapse? Not in the
manner observed. The reason is that simultaneous and symmetric
damage is needed to produce a collapse with the precise symmetry of
the vertical fall of building 7. This building had 58 perimeter
columns and 25 core columns. In order to cause the building to sink
into its footprint, all of the core columns and all of the perimeter
columns would have to be broken in the same split-second.
Any debris from the
towers impacting Building 7 would have hit its south side, and any
columns damaged by it would almost certainly be perimeter columns on
its south side. Any fuel tank explosion would only be able to damage
nearby structure. The rapid fall-off of blast pressures with
distance from the source would preclude any such event from breaking
all of the columns in the building.
(Furthermore the very idea of a tank of diesel
fuel exploding taxes the imagination, since diesel fuel does not
even begin to boil below 320º F.) Fires have never been known to
damage steel columns in high-rise buildings, but if they could, the
damage would be produced gradually and would be localized to the
areas where the fire was the most intense.
No combination of
debris damage, fuel-tank explosions, and fires could inflict the
kind of simultaneous damage to all the building's columns required
to make the building implode. The precision of such damage required
to bring Building 7 down into its footprint was especially great,
given the ratio of its height to its width and depth. Any asymmetry
in the extent and timing of the damage would cause such a building
to topple.
Fires Versus Steel
Buildings
The official
explanation that fires caused the collapse of Building 7 and the
Twin Towers is incredible in light of the fact that fires have never
caused a steel-framed building to totally collapse, before or after
September 11th, 2001.
Steel-framed
high-rises (buildings of fifteen stories or more) have been common
for more than 100 years. There have been hundreds of incidents
involving severe fires in such buildings, and none have led to
complete collapse, or even partial collapse of support columns.
Recent examples of
high-rise fires include the 1991 One Meridian Plaza fire in
Philadelphia, which raged for 18 hours and gutted 8 floors of the
38-floor building; and the 1988 First Interstate Bank Building fire
in Los Angeles, which burned out of control for 3-1/2 hours and
gutted 4 floors of the 64 floor tower. Both of these fires were far
more severe than any fires seen in the Twin Towers or Building 7,
but those buildings did not collapse. The Los Angeles fire was
described as producing "no damage to the main structural
members."
Research indicates
that even if a steel-framed building were subjected to an impossible
super-fire, hundreds of degrees hotter and far more extensive then
any fire ever observed in a real building, it would still not
collapse. Appendix A of The World Trade Center Building
Performance Study contains the following:
In building fires
outside of such laboratory experiments, steel beams and columns
probably never exceed 500º C. In extensive fire tests of steel frame
car-parks conducted by Corus Construction in several countries,
measured temperatures of the steel columns and beams, including in
uninsulated structures, never exceeded 360ºC.
In retrospect of the prompt
disposal of all the material and the lack of any investigations is
not surprising. It is difficult today to find any 9-11 "fact"
offered by the Bush Administration that has the ability to withstand
close scrutiny. In general they show either basic flaws in
reasoning, a complete lack of corroborating evidence, or the
familiar syndrome in which one question simply leads to more
questions that the government refuses to acknowledge, let alone
answer.
In June it was
revealed that an individual who had a high level security clearance
and was stationed in the Office of Emergency Management in World
Trade Center 7 witnessed explosions and damage to the lobby of the
building before either twin tower had collapsed.
The testimony of
these individuals meshes with others in confirming that Building 7
was deliberately brought down on the day of 9/11, a fact that
eviscerates official investigations into Building 7 as nothing more
than part of an orchestrated cover-up.
In February of 2002
Silverstein Properties won $861 million from Industrial Risk
Insurers to rebuild on the site of WTC 7. Silverstein Properties’
estimated investment in WTC 7 was $386 million. This building’s
collapse alone resulted in a payout of nearly $500 million, based on
the contention that it was an unforeseen accidental event.
A cursory insight
into professional building demolition tells us that experts are
required to spend weeks and months planning the demolition of any
building, ensuring that the explosives are placed in exactly the
right spots, that the collapse will not impact surrounding
buildings, and that a myriad of sufficient safety procedures are
followed.
To imagine that
demolition experts could rig such a huge building amidst the chaos
of the day, unsure of whether further attacks were coming, in a
matter of hours and bring the building down neatly in its own
footprint without afflicting major damage to adjacent buildings is
beyond belief.
Even if one
entertains the notion that this is within the realm of possibility,
the fact is that the federal government, FEMA and NIST and
Silverstein Properties are all knowingly lying in claiming that the
building collapsed by accident as a result of burning debris from
the twin towers.
Now it is
established that they lied about Building 7, how can we trust their
often changing explanations of the collapse of the twin towers,
especially considering the dozens and dozens of eyewitnesses who
have gone on the record to report the fact that explosives were seen
and heard on all levels of both towers, including underground
explosions before the planes even hit?
We are being asked
to put our faith in either the federal government, who deliberately
lied about 9/11 in the very days after the attack in telling
emergency workers and firefighters that the toxic air was safe to
breathe , or the emergency workers and other rescue heroes who
risked their lives and are still suffering the consequences of their
courage.
This testimony
demands an immediate grand jury inquiry into both monolithic
insurance fraud, potential manslaughter, and a complete re-appraisal
and re-investigation into everything else that happened on 9/11 in
an effort to discover what else the government lied about concerning
the events of that day and its aftermath.
No
Burial for the 9-11 remains, so said a Jewish US District Judge.
U.S. District Judge
Alvin Hellerstein, saying the city’s decisions about where to
off-load the debris “were difficult and complicated,” found the city
had “acted responsibly” in bringing about a “swift and efficient
recovery from the terrorists’ attack.”
The lawsuit, filed
in 2005 by a group called WTC Families for a Proper Burial, sought
to have the estimated 1.2 million to 1.8 million tons of rubble
originally from the World Trade Center site transferred out of the
Fresh Kills landfill located on New York’s borough of Staten Island.
The families said
the city should move the residue that had been finely sifted
multiple times to a more suitable location and have a cemetery
created.
The Pentagon
The damage to the
building was far less than can be accounted from a direct hit of a
Boeing 757
2.1.3 –0.05 seconds: How does
the Final Official Report account for the intact cable spools in the
trajectory of the aircraft?
The short answer is: in no
way. The spools are not not so much as mentioned despite the fact
that they are conspicuous in numerous photographs taken at the site,
including this one from the Report (to which numbers of the spools
have been added). With the help of this picture it is possible to
see that the largest spools were 6 to 7 ft tall, for even though
they are in the background of the firemen, the largest ones are
nearly as high in pixels.
