• Akureyri.is - Information on the city of Akureyri & the surrounding areas.
• Tourist Information Bureau - The Tourist Information Bureau is located in the Akureyri Bus Terminal which is near to the town centre. There one can find information on all trips and regular bus schedules which are on offer in the vicinity of Akureyri, booklets etc.

Guest Houses

• Brekkusel Guesthouse - Guesthouse Brekkusel is open all year round. We offer made-up beds and sleepingbag accommodation. The guesthouse has been renovated and the rooms are with or without bathrooms. Good kitchen facilities.
• Yellow Villa Guesthouse - Bed linen and sleeping bag accommodation, breakfast and cooking facilities.

Hostels

• Harpa Hotel - This hotel comes highly recommended.
• Hotel Akureyri - Set in a quiet area of Akureyri, 5 minutes walk from town´s square, art center, museums in the old town and the botanic garden. Next door to town´s theatre.
• Hotel Edda - Hotel Edda has 84 rooms, 14 with shower and 70 with hand basin only. The restaurant seats 150 persons. The hotel is in the heart of town and is a good choice for those looking for good service at a reasonable price.
• Hotel KEA - Hotel KEA is a 4 star hotel on 5 floors. There are 62 double rooms, 10 single rooms and one suite. On offer are also smokeless rooms and rooms specially equipped for the handicapped.
• Hotel Nordurland - Hotel Nordurland is located in the centre of Akureyri. In the spring of 2000, a considerable amount of renovation was done on the hotel, all rooms were painted, new carpeting laid, and new beds were bought. There are 37 rooms in the hotel, all with private shower, cable TV, telephone and minibar.

Ski Centers

• Hlidarfall Ski Center - The ski slopes of Hlíðarfjall are a paradise for skiers; and if you are staying in Akureyri they are right on your doorstep. The environment is of the best and the ski lifts can carry 2930 persons per hour to the slopes above. The difference in altitude from lowest point to highest is about 500 meters.
