The Crest Hotel
Sydney, New South Wales

Travelers Digest 2002 Review

In the beautiful city of Sydney there are literally thousands of hotels, resorts and budget accommodations. Our touring crew stayed at many different hotels, but one of our most memorable and comforting stays was at The Crest Hotel in the middle of Kings Cross. While on tour beginning in June of 2002, of Sydney we were so impressed with this stunning city that we ended up staying over a month and after touring the rest of this huge country, came back and stayed another month. The last entire month of stay in Sydney was spent at this hotel.

After becoming familiar with the city, we soon learned the heart of the city was in the area located in Kings Cross, Sydney’s premier entertainment district, the hotel is surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants with direct rail access to the city. The hotel offers over 15 levels offering 222 spacious rooms, including 4 suites, ideal for corporate guests, families or groups.

The Crest Hotel guest rooms offer spectacular views of Sydney Harbour, the city and Rushcutters Bay, with spacious rooms offering modern conveniences and security. They offer a choice of twin, double and even triple rooms. Interconnecting rooms are also available in catering for families and groups. Each room has air Conditioning, colour television, in room safe, tea & coffee brewing facilities and data port/internet. The lobby is opened and staffed 24 hours a day and they offer a concierge and tour Desk. The Crest is affordable luxury with every possible desired amenity...a fully equipped Ginseng Bath-house and four bars. If you're into sports, they have an excellent sports bar with multiple screens, a full assortment of your favorite drinks and friendly staff.

In their exclusive wine cellar they offer an extensive range of wine, beer, spirits and other alcoholic beverages both for the budget conscience as well as the liquor connoisseur. In their famous Goldfish Bowl Bar you may drink outside the square overlooking Darlinghurst Road, the main street in Kings Cross. Last, but definitely not least...The Peppermint lounge which is one of Sydney’s premier lounges hidden away in Potts Point.

We highly recommend staying at The Crest Hotel if you truly desire to experience the best of  this phenomenal city...Sydney.
