Gemia, one of the rarest privately owned islands in Malaysia, is available
for your pleasure. Only seven minutes off the coast of Kuala Terengganu, the
island is surrounded by a marine conservation park which serves as a nesting
area for rare leatherback turtles.
Accommodations
The island has a number of room types with a variety of price
points to meet your budget. The resort includes 40 terrace rooms, 10
detached deluxe rooms and 2 villas. All rooms face the sea and are
equipped with air conditioning, TV, and bathroom facilities.
Facilities
Although the island is small and intimate, it has all of the facilities
of a large resort are on site. The resort has its own dive shop, restaurant and
bar. The restaurant serves Malay Chinese and Continental meals. In addition,
there is a private facility room for large groups and conferences.

Since the island sits in a conservation sanctuary, snorkelling and diving are a
must! If fishing is more your thing, try night fishing or squid fishing. If you
are looking to stay on land, try participating in one of Gemia's jungle treks!
