explore the thousands of coves and islands of Georgian Bay and the North
Channel, in the heart of Rainbow country. The lush green islands that dot the
sparkling blue waters, at the foot of the La Cloche Mountains is where you will
find the Island Lodge.

The Island Lodge is a paradise for the outdoor adventurer. Excellent
fishing, swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. Many boaters rank
the North Channel among North America's best cruising waters.
A quiet retreat, romantic getaway, family fun. The scenery is more than
spectular, no wonder the group of seven spent summers in the area.
Have your own private island for your gathering for up to 70. An excellent
mix of work and pleasure for company outings. Or throw an unforgettable wedding
in the most picturesque scenery in Ontario.
Dining
The main lodge was originally built in 1928, It contains a dining room,
lounge, sitting area, and games area. Hand made furniture, and pine walls and
floors, a warm fire burning in the fireplace only enhance the rich natural
ambience to the building. Sky lights lets in the sunlight to keep it warm and
inviting
The lounge is a cozy and intimate place for a cocktail to start your dining,
or end your evening. Or sit on the patio and enjoy a beverage as you enjoy the
view of the bay. The dining room has large windows so as you enjoy your meal as
well as the calm blue waters in the bay.
Fishing and Boating
Some of the Island Lodge's best fish are caught from the shores of the
island. Ardent anglers find excellent fishing for Bass, Northern Pike, Trout,
Muskie, Walleye, Perch, and Panfish as they explore the protected waters among
the many islands on the bay of islands.
An onsite tackle shop offers an extensive array of lures including both worms
and minnows available. You may fish with or without a guide. The Island Lodge
would be happy to arrange it for you. In addition, Motor boats available for
rent.
