on Lizard Island to chart a course out to sea through the maze of reefs

face to face with a massive yet curious Potato Cod swimming right up to inspect
you with child-like curiosity.

this magic location undisturbed.
There are many magnificent walks, and on at least one you can expect to
glimpse a Monitor, the lizard after which the island was named. Healthy

with European and Asian influence.

Diving Lizard Island is surrounded by fringing reef, and it
is only a 50 minute boat trip to the legendary Outer Great Barrier Reef. A
variety of diverse dive locations are available for all levels of diving
experience. This northern section of the Great Barrier Reef is renowned for its
water clarity and amazing variety of coral species and marine life which
attracts visitors from all around the world.
