Opened in 1992 and with major additions in 1998/99 and 2002, the Resort is
stylish in both design and execution. Native timbers, plantation shutters and
Fijian architecture harmonies with modern interiors designed to please the most
discerning guest.
Sonaisali Island Resort Fiji is ideally located in the warm tropical waters
of the South Pacific. It is situated 300 metres off the main island of Viti Levu
and is the gateway to the Coral Coast and Mamanuca and Yasawa Island groups.
The Resort is located only 25 minutes drive along sealed roads from Nadi
International Airport and 15 minutes from Nadi town (Suva side). Access to the
105 acre, palm-fringed private island is gained 24 hours per day via
complimentary motor launch across a sheltered lagoon.

with a hearty 'Bula' - the official Fijian welcome.
Do it all or do nothing at all. The possibilities are nearly endless; laze
amongst the tropical gardens beside the large lagoon style pool, snorkel amid a
blizzard of tiny reef fish, explore the countless gardens scattered throughout
the resort. You may decide to indulge the senses at the Health and Beauty Centre
or visit a nearby village and mingle with the Fijian villagers. Shop amongst the
locals in nearby Nadi or cruise throughout the neighbouring Mamanuca Islands. In
the evenings, dine beneath a torchlit bure before your stroll under a billion
twinkling stars.
A wide array of ocean and sports activities are available or you might just
want to toast each other and marvel at a tropical sunset from your private spa
bath.
Weddings
On Sonaisali, a unique and memorable Wedding Ceremony is a specialty,
and the focus is on you!
The simple and elegant service, conducted by a Fijian Minister or Marriage
Celebrant is legally binding. Our Wedding Coordinator will ensure your special
day is arranged as it should be - perfect and carefree!
All Weddings are fully guided and supervised.
Timing, locations and other arrangements can be changed to suit as per
request.
The main event takes approximately 1 hour.

The Business Centre is conveniently located in the Shopping Arcade and
directly behind The Gallery Conference Room.
With many computers available, Internet and e-mail services are available
within the Business Centre. Our professional IT staff are available from 08.00
to 21.00 daily and are only too happy to assist you.

The Gallery is a fully air-conditioned function room in the Main Complex of
the Resort. With a break out area overlooking the pool and the warm waters of
the Pacific Ocean, it is the ideal location for your next meeting or conference.
The Gallery's seating capacity is as follows:

The Boardroom is a stylishly accommodated, fully air-conditioned meeting room
with a seating capacity of 20 pax.
The Break Out Areas are many and scattered throughout the Resort. From
afternoon tea on the Resort's Private Marina, a Sunset Point Fijian BBQ Lunch,
Morning Refreshments under in a thatched bure overlooking the tropical Pacific
Ocean to Breakfast beside the large lagoon style pool, Cocktail Parties on Board
a luxury Catamaran or a Formal Gala Dinner under the Stars on the white sand.

Traditional Fijian Meke
Traditional Fijian chanting, song and dance performed by local
villagers during which Guest participation is eagerly invited. A wonderful
opportunity for a mutually rewarding cultural exchange, between our Guests and
the indigenous Fijian people.
Firewalking Cultural Performance
This is an event that just can't be missed whilst in Fiji!
Experience this Fijian phenomenon whereby Brave Warriors Walk Bare Foot over
Red - Hot Stones without getting burnt.
These brave warriors hail from the island of Yanuca where legend has it that
this strange power was handed down to an ancestor through a god.
Bula Talei Dance Group
A lively array of dancing by the younger members of staff and friends
from the nearby village of Korovuto. Everybody is invited to join in and have
some fun!

Function Areas
Sunset Point
An outdoor function area at the far end of the Island. Complete with
Bar Bure and numerous thatched bures for food service, this popular area is
perfect for larger groups of up to 300. This venue is ideal for Fijian themed
nights complete with Live Band or DJ as it is situated away from Resort
accommodation and allows groups to party until as late as they like. Bathroom
facilities are available with seating capacity up to 300 pax. Standing Cocktail
Reception for up to 500 pax.
Zero Bar
An undercover, open-air function spot complete with bar and superior
sound system. This venue is situated away from Resort accommodation and allows
groups to be entertained well into the wee hours. Theme night dinners, lunch
functions and breakfast gatherings are well catered to at the Zero Bar. Bathroom
facilities are available with seating capacity of up to 150 pax. Standing
Cocktail Reception for up to 200 pax.
Poolside Nukavula
The perfect area for a Gala Night Function! Located poolside with the
convenience of the Main Complex nearby, this area is both functional and
beautiful. Cocktail parts are held during sunset and then the group is escorted
to the countless tables, situated in the sand. Wine and dine your group in
tropical luxury. Our Chefs will devise the perfect menu for any size and any
budget. Bathroom facilities are available with seating capacity of up to 150 pax.

Sunset Terrace Restaurant
With high vaulted ceilings and polished wooden decks, this Restaurant
is the perfect wet weather venue. Undercover and open-air, wherever you are
seated in this restaurant you have a view of the beautiful lagoon style swimming
pool or of the waters of the pacific Ocean. With stage and entertainment
equipment located in the room, this is a stylish and accessible function area.
Being the main restaurant of the Resort, up to 300 people can comfortable dine
in this delightful room. Standing Cocktail Reception fro up to 400 pax.
The Plantation Restaurant
'Fine Dining at its finest in Fiji' describes this popular
air-conditioned Restaurant. Featuring lavish rugs tossed over polished wooden
floors, white starched cloths on the candle lit tables, sepia prints of a time
long ago adorning the walls and lovingly polished silver decorating the ancient
wood buffets, 'The Plantation' is a traditional Restaurant both in service and
décor.
Our chefs will prepare a 14-course extravaganza for your group. Each course a
surprise until it arrives at your table, creating an atmosphere and enthusiastic
expectation throughout the night. We insist on using only the finest ingredients
available & devote absolute attention to detail in both preparation &
presentation.
Situated in the Main Complex, the private room can accommodate 35 pax seated
and 50 pax for a standing Reception.
Wedding Bure
Located on the beach and surrounded by tropical gardens, this
traditionally thatched open-air bure is normally used for Wedding ceremonies on
the Island. It is a delightful location to host a stand up casual morning or
afternoon tea. As a dining venue for intimate, smaller groups or for larger
standing functions, the Wedding bure is the perfect location. Standing
receptions of up to 30 pax and seated functions for 15 pax.
Luxury Catamaran
Holding up to 30 passengers, 'Cagi Malua' is the perfect floating
function place. With galley and bathroom facilities on board, the luxury vessel
is the ideal for smaller groups from a casual BBQ Lunch or Dinner Function to a
drifting Cocktail Party.
