Also known as Pretty Joe Rock, this quaint keys island is surrounded by the
sparkling turquoise waters of the Gulf.
This island home features, air conditioning, bamboo and rattan furniture,
ceiling fans and TV/VCR. The living room offers a cathedral ceiling with exposed
beams and a mix of wood and tile flooring. The master suite features a king size
bed and a sunken Jacuzzi tub with walk-in double head shower. The second bedroom
has a full bed draped in tropical netting. French doors lead from the great room
to the screened front porch and to a side covered deck, which is ideal for
watching the sunrise or set. The perfect way to start or end your days in the
Keys. The kitchen offers a breakfast bar stocked with cooking and dining
equipment as well as modern appliances. The island is fully functional with
electricity and water, which is pumped in from the mainland. The islands
open-air boathouse landing features a double slip with floating dock and
gangplank ramp for easy boating access.
The home is surrounded by landscaped boardwalks and an ancient exposed reef
features native vegetation such as black mangroves, sea grapes, and pitch
apples, which attract a variety of migrating birds. In the water around the
island, guests will occasionally be greeted by dolphins, manatees, parrot and
angel fish all swimming in the crystal clear warm waters.
