This nine bedroom, six and two half bath, cottage also includes a children's playhouse and five swimming beaches spread around the island.
Offered at $25,000 per week; three week minimum stay.
Equipment includes two kayaks, three runabout boats, and two skiffs
with 50 hp Honda motors, which may be used by the guest, if qualified,
to explore the outer ledges, get close to the to the colony of seals
which reside there, or to fish. Also included is a launch with an
enclosed cabin and an inboard-outboard 200 hp engine. There is also an
express trawler with twin diesel engines, 36 ft with bridge, and
enclosed salon with two staterooms and head, which can carry a dozen
people for cruising the bay. The trawler is available with Captain Bill
Fulton, who will be available for two, three hour cruises per-week to
explore Portland Harbor, and the Casco Bay area or to travel to other
islands for lunch or dinner like the Diamond Cove or Chebeague Island
Inn. The caretaker is available to haul people back and forth to the
mainland in the launch if they need to go somewhere by car. Four parking
spaces are available on the mainland across from the island near Handy
Boat in Falmouth Foreside. Guests would be picked up and returned at
Falmouth Town Landing, which is just a ten minute boat ride to and from
the island.
Included in the rental price are the caretakers, boat drivers, cook, and
servers for lunch and dinner. Housekeeping will be done twice per-week with
sheets changed weekly. A once a week lobster bake on the beach is included as
well.
Any evening parties, other than the lobster bake, will be billed extra, as
all the help has to stay late on those nights. Everything is included in the
rate except food and liquor. Gratuities are not included. A twenty thousand
dollar security deposit is required for breakage or loss. All bookings must be
accompanied by a 50% non-refundable deposit.
