Vietnam Recommendations

Name: Jackson

Question: I am headed to Vietnam with my girlfriend in December. Any recommendations?

Answer: Absolutely. I’ve actually taken a romantic trip to Vietnam last year so I’ll try to give you some insight. As far as the country is concerned it’s a very cheap, safe country. The US Dollar is used in pairing with the local currency (Dong), in general the Dollar is used for expensive items & the Dong for pocket money. Transportation in the country is pretty good, domestic flights are rather cheap, & the train system is clean but there can be long distances between cities.

I assume you’ll be flying into Saigon first, it’s a nice place but definitely not the best of what Vietnam has to offer. However if you look hard enough though you can definitely find some worthwhile stuff in Saigon as well.

Nha Trang is a really nice town on the South China Sea. The beach is beautiful, it’s only a short flight away from Saigon, & you should be able to find cheap beachfront accommodation.

Hoi An is always mentioned by people who have visited Vietnam as one of their favourite places in the country. And I’ll say that it doesn’t disappoint, it’s an especially good place to take a romantic interest. It’s located a short car ride from Da Nang.

Hanoi is my last recommendation as far as cities are concerned. Hanoi is a beautiful place, often called the Paris of the East, it’s a fog shrouded wondrous place filled with French colonial architecture, & lakeside pagodas.
