Question: Can one just walk in to the camp and tour on one’s own? I have just a few hours before I have to board my plane again. We have a few hour layover in Prague on June 3.
Answer: You can absolutely just walk into the camp and tour on your own. That’s how my visit to the camp went down, and I do believe the same is true for every former concentration camp that I’ve ever visited. However, Terezin is about 70 kilometres from Prague, so you might not be able to make it out and back in the time you have allotted.
