Destination of the Month: With the Olympics starting this month Beijing is the obvious choice but I personally try to avoid cities during the Olympics. Also Beijing in the summer isn’t exactly pleasant. So I’ve decided to go another way & choose St Petersburg, Russia as the destination of the month. I know what you’re thinking, Russia, seriously? But the truth is St Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world & with it being so far north there’s no time better than to go than August. Getting there shouldn’t be too hard as you can fly there directly from most major cities in Europe. You can also arrive via train if you happen to be in the Baltic States or Finland. There are even ferry services if you happen to be on the Baltic Sea.

The Greek Islands really come to life in the summer months, and there are many great islands such as Ios famous for its nightlife & Santorini famous for its natural beauty. We believe at Travelers Digest however that Mykonos has an excellent combination of nightlife, natural beauty, & culture. There are many ways to get to the Greek Islands, most likely you’ll have to go through Athens and then either take a ferry or fly. There are also chartered flights from other European cities, you can also take a ferry to the Greek Islands from the Turkish coast.

I wish to apply for Russian Tourist Visa in the Consulate in Nigeria whereby the Consulate requested for an original Tourist Voucher from the authorized hosting Russian travel Agency and confirmation letter both must contain the Agency reference no. given by the Russian ministry of foreign affairs.
