The Trendiest Cities in The World
The places that put the cool in cool, the trend in trendy, the cites other cities aspire to be. Where trends are born, and scenes die everyday. Places so trendy that the people there don't even know they're being trendy anymore, places where the nightlife is so good it happens during the day.

 Honorable Mention; Montreal, Canada
A city largely regarded as one of the world's best, with a decisively European flair, Montreal is quite amazing. The people even speak French although they live in North America, you can't get more original than that.

 10. Seattle, Washington
This is the city that invented alternative rock music, the early part of the 1990's was defined by the sound coming out of Seattle. In modern times Death Cab For Cutie came out of Seattle to almost inspire apathetic college students across the nation. Also Starbucks was invented in Seattle, and then only a few years later the citizens of the city were so over it  they were smashing Starbucks windows, that's just cool.

 9. San Francisco, California
I'm pretty sure being gay was invented here, and that seems to be trendy these days. Alright so that may have been offensive, but in all seriousness San Francisco is a city that sets trends. Everything is in a constant state of motion here and it's packed full of interesting people.

 8. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Just think of it this way, whenever someone does drugs, or goes out with a hooker, they're emulating Amsterdam. Sure maybe those things weren't invented here, but they were definitely made infamous here.

 7. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is the epitome of cool, there's conflicting styles of art and architecture side by side, they have the best soccer team in the world and it's even the setting of the opening shot for the video of Justin Timberlake's Sexyback. And if it's cool enough for Justin, odds are it's much too cool for you.

 6. Paris, France
You'll see more style underground in the Parisian metro system than there is to be found in most other entire cities. The people in the subway are so beautiful and fashionable it wouldn't be surprising if they had just came from a photo shoot. Imagine what the streets are like.

 5. Milan, Italy
Milan doesn't really need much of an explanation as to why it's trendy. Let's see... literally almost all of the world's fashion comes from this city. Every major designer has a presence here and as such it's a haven for beautiful people from across the globe.

 4. New York City, New York
Commonly called the capital of the world, there aren't many places more trendy than the New York City neighborhoods of The Village, SoHo, & the Upper Westside. Gods amongst mortals, beacons of light in otherwise dreary world.

 3. London, England
London sidewalks have seen many a trend in their days, and also one Jack The Ripper. London is so culturally dominant it overshadows the entire nation it's in. Leaving some people (Paris Hilton) to believe London and England are in fact no related to one another.

 2. Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo has robotic dogs playing soccer. If that's not an up coming trend I'm not sure what is. Besides if anyone's ever seen the movie Lost in Translation they would know Tokyo is cool because the movie had absolutely no point other than they were in Tokyo.

 1. Los Angeles, California
Where dogs do yoga, homeless people have iPhones and sushi is eaten off of naked bodies. The 10th largest economy in the world, and sunny everyday, this city is the defining point of everything we've come to know as western civilization. It's the birthplace to the convertible, inline skating, and every movie you've ever liked. And really when it comes down to it, where else in the world can you find a goth roller skating night?
