Description:
This fully air conditioned villa is approximately 3,000 square feet and
is decorated in a contemporary Mexican style with lots of white accented
with splashes of color. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, which
vaults up through the second floor. It is open on the first floor and
then glassed into the second floor bedrooms and out towards the ocean.
The effect enhances the openness of the entire villa. The sunken living
room has a double built in bench facing the pool and aquamarine sea. A
small TV with Satellite and VCR are there just in case you get tired of
the view.
The dining room has a beautiful cut Mayan stone wall and dining table and chairs for 6 + 2. In addition, there is bar seating next to the dining table with a pass through from the recently renovated kitchen. Everything you need to prepare a meal is right here or why not have Cheli prepare something special for you from her menu of Mexican and Mayan dishes.
Two of the four bedrooms can be found on the main floor. The first you will see has twin beds, attached bathroom with shower and faces the garden/street side of the property. It is a little small but not cramped. The second bedroom is larger, with twin beds, attached bathroom with shower, faces the ocean and has a slider out to the pool and your own hammock.
Upstairs you will find the other two bedrooms. Both of these are very bright and open with nice ocean views. The master bedroom has a King bed, bathroom with shower, double sinks and private terrace. The other bedroom has 2 double beds, attached bathroom with shower and a security safe in the walk in closet.
In addition to Mariposa’s own private 15’ X 20’ fresh water pool, there is a salt-water pool also four feet deep, just below the deck on the ocean. If you would like to treat yourself, we can arrange for Vivienne to give you a massage around the fresh water pool and then move to the salt water pool for a seaweed or mudpack treatment, and then........ you can dive into either pool to cool off and relax!.
If you are feeling adventurous and would like to have private scuba diving instruction, Twyla from Brisa Caribe, will come to the villa and teach you in the privacy of the pool. Or if you are already certified, she can arrange for you to go shore diving right in front of the villa - talk about service!
