 Exterior Description
(20,200 m2) Built in 1648, this property is a historic ferry landing post on the River Dordogne. It is now a traditional Perigourdine-style house with 220 meters of waterfront. Spread out over five acres of land, the property includes beautiful gardens with natural landscaping, a brook that flows down to the private beach, and a walnut grove at the west end of the property. The property also includes a swimming pool with an infinity edge overlooking the Dordogne. Most of the property is fenced, and access to the pool and river can be blocked by fences and gates. Please note, however, that young children must be attended to at all times. There is parking available in the front courtyard and one additional spot right outside the front gate.

 Interior Description
(325 m2) Two floors and small basement area:
Ground floor: The entrance leads into a small foyer. There is a lovely, well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a pantry, and stone countertops. The breakfast area seats four people, and it faces north and east, overlooking the river on one side and the brook on the other. There is a glass door on the south side of the kitchen that opens onto a porch overlooking the gardens, the brook, and the front of the property. There is a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom (with shower), a small walk-in closet, and a queen size bed. This bedroom overlooks the front courtyard. The living/dining room has an antique dining table that seats ten people, an original 17th century fireplace in excellent working order, and windows overlooking the Dordogne. Furnishings include antiques and comfortable new couches and chairs. There is a nice guest bathroom with a separate WC. The family room has an L-shaped double sofa bed and satellite TV, for which there is surround sound throughout the ground floor rooms.
Upper floor: On this floor, a mezzanine functions as a library. There is a large double bedroom with a queen size bed, wooden beam ceilings, and two windows overlooking the river. There is a second bedroom with a trundle bed that can be converted into a king size bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom (with shower, separate WC, and pedestal sink). Finally, there is a private master suite with wooden beam ceilings, a king size bed, a large closet, custom-made teak furniture, and an en suite bathroom (with Jacuzzi; separate WC; two sinks; and a shower with six jets, one handheld shower head, and one fixed showerhead). This bedroom overlooks the river and the courtyard.
Lower level: The laundry room is located on the lower floor.
