Exterior
Description This typical
Greek town house has white washed walls and deep blue shutters. It is
located on a picturesque street in the center of Skopelos town, 300 m from
the port. The interior features lively accents of bright blue and yellow,
in keeping with traditional island style. Panagitsa House has a shady,
green courtyard with a large stone dining table. There is a built-in
barbecue and an outdoor shower. From the courtyard, stairs lead up to a
second terrace with a small, heated whirlpool. The upper terrace,
partially shaded by a vine-covered pergola, is furnished with lounges, a
dining table, and ample seating. The upper terrace enjoys views of the old
fortress walls of Kastro and the sea beyond. The view also takes in the
neighboring island of Alonissos. The center of town, with its cobbled
streets and shops, is only a 5-minute walk away. There is a mini market at
the bottom of the stairs that offers a good selection of essentials. There
are also several tavernas within a short walk. The bus stop and taxi stand
are a 10-minute walk from the house, offering easy access to any of the
island’s beaches. The nearest beach is 4 km away.
Interior
Description Two floors.
Ground floor: The entrance leads into a sitting room with slate floors and
a corner fireplace. The room is lined with book shelves and has a built-in
sofa. An archway leads into the well-equipped kitchen. There is a large
dining table. Off the kitchen there are two bathrooms with showers. A
steep stone staircase leads up to the bedroom level. Here there are four
twin-bedded rooms with ample closet space. Two of the bedrooms have sea
views and one of then has French doors that lead to a small balcony
overlooking the neighborhood and sea below. The amenities include:
whirlpool, barbecue, housekeeping (3 times per week, including linen
change; Sundays excluded). Additional amenities for which there is an
extra cost: partial transfers (includes pick-up at Skiathos airport,
transfer to Skiathos port, and ferry tickets to Skopelos or Alonissos; 30
Euros per person); full transfers (includes pick-up at Athens airport,
transport to Agios Konstantinos port, and boat tickets to Skopelos or
Alonissos); cribs, high chairs, and extra beds.
