Description Situated high
above the town of Skopelos in the Raches area, Villa Galatea enjoys a
peaceful setting amidst olive and fruit trees. It is a 5-10 min drive from
Skopelos Town. The villa's sun terrace has lovely views of the surrounding
mountains as well as of Stafilos and Alonissos. Decorated with traditional
furnishings, the villa is stylish and comfortable. A rental car is
recommended.
Interior
Description There are two
levels. Ground Floor: Kitchen/living/dining area with red-tiled flooring,
high ceilings with exposed beams, fireplace, and dining table. Kitchen has
full oven with four ring stove, refrigerator, coffeepot, kettle, and
toaster. One step down: tiled bathroom with tub, a double bedroom with en
suite bathroom with tub. 2nd Level: From ground floor, steep wooden
staircase leads to gallery sleeping area suitable for 2 children. Access
to garden and terrace. 2nd Level: From ground floor, spiral staircase
leads up to another gallery with 2 sleeping places. Access to sun terrace.
Same level: a double bedroom. Amenities include: maid service once a week,
TV, CD player, iron and ironing board. Garden area includes flowers and
some natural shade. Pool with pool terrace. The closest sandy and shingle
(mix) beaches are 4.5 km (Ag. Constandinos beach) and 6 km (Agnondas and
Limnonari beaches). The town of Skopelos, with many services, is just a
kilometer away. The Skiathos airport is about 40 minutes away. Extra
services available for an extra cost: Maid service: $12 USD per day Cook
service: $100 USD per day for 2 meals plus shopping. Babysitter: $10 USD
per hour, minimum 4 hours Cell phone rentals: $20 USD per day/per phone
Grocery delivery: $15 USD plus shopping costs; $40 USD minimum order;
Delivery 10am - 6pm Private English-speaking guide: $55 USD per 8 hours,
plus meals PC with modem: $25 USD per day, minimum 7 days; connection time
