Description Villa
Gastouri is located on a hilltop beside Achilion Palace. It is 80 m above
sea level and roughly 350 m from the water. The property includes the main
villa and separate guest house. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool
(13m x 6m; 1.10 m to 2.55m deep) and garden (6500m2) with flowers, palm,
olive, and lemon trees. There is a terrace paved with granite tiles and a
veranda paved in white marble. Arriving from the airport or port, it’s 6
km to Perama, where a paved private road (150 m) leads to the property’s
electronic entrance gates. There is ample outdoor parking available. The
village of Gastouri and Achilion Palace are within walking distance (800
m) of the villa. The main beach access road---lined with grocers, scooter
rental outfits, and other small shops---is also 800 m away. There are
various beaches within a 10-minute drive of the villa. Boat rentals and
water sports are available. Corfu Town has a number of museums and
seasonal cultural events. There is a golf course 8 km from the villa. The
villa is equipped with an interior and exterior security system. As part
of the amenities included in the rental price, guests will be greeted at
the airport by the caretaker and led to the villa. Depending on guests’
wishes, the caretaker is available to reside in independent staff quarters
on the property, or can reside off-site. Available daily from 9:00 AM
until 2:00 PM, and then again from 4:00 to 9:00 PM, the caretaker will
clean the pool and maintain the grounds daily, as well as attend to any
problems that might arise. He is also available to barbecue in the
evenings. Outside of those hours, he will be accessible via cell phone.
Daily housekeeping is also included in the rental price.
Interior
Description (360m2) Two
floors. Entry level: The main entrance leads into a hallway. On the left
there is a staircase leading up to the second floor. Further to the left,
there is a guest WC. There is also a double bedroom with queen-size bed
and en suite bathroom (shower). Returning to the entry hall, on the right
a corridor leads to the pantry, and then into the fully equipped kitchen
and breakfast room. The kitchen includes two ovens, a dishwasher, washing
machine, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There are sliding glass
stores overlooking the veranda, swimming pool, and sea. Straight ahead
down the hall, there is a living room with fireplace, grand piano,
satellite TV, CD player, stereo, VCR, and DVD player. To the left is the
dining room with seating for 10. First floor: There is a master bedroom
with king-size bed and one bathroom with tub and shower. There is an
office and library with ISDN Internet access, a fax machine, and PC with
Internet access. There are two additional double bedrooms with queen-size
beds and a bathroom with tub, shower, and separate WC. All bedrooms have
large balconies with direct views of the sea. Guest house (60m2): There is
a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, and kitchen. The amenities
include: daily pool and garden maintenance, daily housekeeping, garden
equipment, satellite TV, video, and air conditioning (bedrooms, dining
room, and living room only). Additional amenities for which there is an
extra charge include: cook service ($55 US daily; available mornings
only), telephone usage, wine from the cellar, and use of Honda CRV (450
Euros per week, including insurance).
