Description This private
estate in a prestigious residential area, located on the Greek Ionian
Island of Corfu overlooking the popular yachting anchorage of Kommeno Bay,
provides the ultimate in secluded privacy and tranquility. The beautiful
natural beaches of the island, along with the busy public beaches near the
town of Kommeno, are all readily available. Situated 300 meters from Villa
Kerkyra, and built in the same style as the Main House, this adjacent
smaller house is a favorite of guests with children. The house has
terracotta tiled floors that extend out to a covered dining area on the
terrace and an extensive lawn. The setting overlooks Kommeno Bay and
provides spectacular views of the ancient Venetian fortress and
surrounding islands from the garden terrace.
Interior
Description (350 m2) Ground floor: Entering the house you find a guest cloakroom and a
WC on the left. Straight ahead you enter the large living room with walls
of glass offering splendid 180 degree views of the sea and Corfu Town. The
living room has a marble fireplace, oriental carpets on a terracotta tile
floor, satellite TV, stereo surround music system, and telephone. Sliding
doors provide access to a large veranda with tables for outdoor dining. To
the right of the living room there is a dining table and a very modern
open-plan kitchen, which is fully equipped with extensive counters,
refrigerator, cook top, oven, microwave, coffee-maker, and dishwasher.
There is also a small veranda for a cozy breakfast. The floors are Italian
Cotto in off-white. First floor: A staircase leads up to the 1st floor where the three
bedrooms are located. On the left is the spacious master-bedroom with a
king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower tiled with
Italian Cotto. The bedroom has large glass doors opening to a private
veranda with sea views. On the right side of the corridor are two bedrooms
with queen-size beds and balconies with sea views overlooking Kommeno Bay.
The two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and bathtub. All bedrooms
have high quality parquet flooring with queen size beds. Basement: From the living room stair case you descend to the
basement which houses the engine room as well as the laundry (with washing
machine, dryer, sink, and shower.) In addition, there is also a bedroom
with a queen size bed.
Amenities Included: 5 air conditioning units - 1 in each bedroom on
the first floor (no AC in the bedroom in the basement) plus 2 in living
room; Telephone, Satellite TV / DVD player, Stereo, TV in master bedroom,
washing machine, and dryer. 2 staff members - 1 person for maid service
and cooking and the other person (a man) for driving or making shopping
trips. There is a fireplace - wood is available on request. Complimentary
airport transfer service is available. Note: A complimentary small
car and driver are available for trips to the beach.
