Description Located in
the small village of Roussospiti just outside Rethymno (7 km), this
luxurious villa overlooks a gorge and pine forest. The historic monastery
of St. Irine is just a short distance away. The hilltop Roussospiti area
is characterized by traditional Cretan architecture and offers a panoramic
view of Rethymno and the sea. The villa’s flooring includes Italian tile
and local polished stone. The downtown area and the beaches are only 7 km
from the villa. Built on a large lot (1320m2) at the top of the hill,
Villa Petra is neighboured by an identical villa, Villa Irine, also
available for rental. The villas’ architectural style blends traditional
elements with modern comforts. There is good access to the main road and
the services in the village. Outdoor amenities include a garden with fruit
trees and rose bushes. There is a private swimming pool (40m2; 90cm –
170 cm deep) tiled in sky blue mosaics (each villa has its own pool). The
pool is open in March and closes in October. The pool area is furnished
with an umbrella, lounge chairs, a table, and an outdoor shower. There is
also a stone patio with barbecue. The nearest neighbour is 10 m away;
however, there are few houses in the neighbourhood. There is parking space
for three cars (one in the garage, two outside). The owner’s
representative will meet guests at their point of arrival and guide them
to the villa.
Interior
Description (150m2) Two
floors. Ground floor: There is a spacious living room with fireplace and
guest WC. Furnishings include two sofas, satellite TV, and a CD player.
The adjacent dining area is furnished with a monastery-style table with
seating for 6-8 people. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher and
microwave. There is a laundry room with washing machine in the attached
garage. First floor: There are three bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom
and spacious closet. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, Jacuzzi tub,
and access to a balcony. The second twin-bedded room also has access to
the balcony, as well as an en suite bathroom with shower. The third
twin-bedded room has an en suite bathroom with shower, as well (no balcony
access). All windows are equipped with screens. The amenities include:
housekeeping (every other day), heating/air conditioning (units with
climate controls in all rooms), satellite TV, stereo/CD player, washing
machine, stone oven, microwave, dishwasher, and garden and pool
maintenance.
