property was originally built by Ivy Baker Priest, the first female
treasurer of the United States, and was later owned by her daughter,
actress Pat Priest, best known for her role as Marilyn Munster on the
popular TV show, “The Munsters.”
Ideally situated on a 1/2 acre enjoying a southern exposure and three guest suites overlooking a sparkling pool, this exquisite villa has hosted dignitaries and celebrities from Ike and Mamie Eisenhower to Elvis Presley. With stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains, Villa Vista was completely remodeled in 2002 with no expense spared. The owners have created a spa-like environment in this private home, providing a healing, yet exciting entertainment venue for its guests.
Full attention has been paid to comfort, privacy, and security, with gated drive and walls surrounding the entire property. Another highlight of this unique estate is its full-time houseman, who lives on the property and tends to the guests’ needs, including serving cocktails and continental breakfast, if desired, and providing daily housekeeping services.
Bedroom 1 is accessed from the main house and also opens directly to the pool. Guests have the option of keeping the room as a bedroom at all times or utilizing the “disappearing” king size bed option, creating a library and music room by day.
Bedroom 2 is decorated in a delightful light Asian motif. It opens directly to the pool, and has a small dressing room and separate bathroom with bathtub and shower. Beautiful views of the mountains.
Bedroom 3 called “Out of Africa” by many of the guests because of its African motif, opens directly to the terrace overlooking the pool and jacuzzi. Beautiful mountain views, very private, and has bathroom with shower, which also opens to the outdoor terrace.
