Traveler’s Digest is an online travel magazine based out of Hong Kong. We are currently looking for a writing intern to work remotely and contribute a fixed amount of travel articles each week, for a minimum of three months. Because it is a remote position, the ideal candidate must possess the ability to adhere to deadlines without micromanagement.

The position is a perfect fit for an enthusiastic student or young professional with writing experience, who wants to gain entry into the exciting world of travel writing and build his/her portfolio. You must have a passion for travel, extensive knowledge of destinations in your home country and knowledge of at least a few international travel destinations. Familiarity with WordPress is an asset (though it’s super easy to learn). Avid users of social media will rise to the top of the applicant list.

There will be editorial feedback on all articles, providing a good opportunity to learn about travel writing. Someone will be able to answer any questions that you may have throughout your internship. Upon successful completion of your internship you will have a more refined voice, a more complete portfolio and a positive recommendation from our company.

For exceptional performers there is a chance of paid freelance or contract work.
